FAQs

Here are answers to some of our Frequently Asked Questions:

Are you open on Sundays?
No. We are closed Sundays.

Is the Bell tower open to the public?
Not at this time. We hope to have it open for people to view in 2008.

How much does it cost to rent the facility?
The rental fees vary dependant on how many rooms you wish to use; the group you represent; the day of the week as Sunday usage is slightly higher; and the event itself.

When was the house built?
Construction began in 1904 and was completed in 1906.

Who was the architect?
From what we understand it was, Paul Moratz, a local architect.

Are you a church?
No. We are a non-denominational Christian service center and facility.

Do you allow wine or alcohol?
We allow wine when served by a licensed caterer or during a private party. Please call IBF for more information at (309) 452-6710.

Can visitors stay over night at the mansion?
We are not a B&B. This is, by tradition, the Executive Directors home. We would suggest that you call Vrooman Mansion or the Burr House. See our “Resources” page for that information.

Where can we park when we have meetings or events at Immanuel?
Street parking is available on Highland Avenue where marked, on the 1200 block of Fell Ave., on the grounds in our parking area, and with advance notice on Francis St. just to the south of our property. Other parking options are available so please call ahead. We can generally accommodate most sized groups with advanced notice.

Are you handicapped accessible?
Immanuel Bible Foundation is a private residence and is exempt from the ADA regulations. Though we can accommodate many visitors with limited mobility we are not able to accommodate wheel chairs. We will make every effort to assist any guest with mobility difficulties however knowing our limitations will help you in planning your event.

How large a group can I bring to Immanuel?
We can seat up to 30 people in our dining room; seat up to 40 in our living room; seat 45 at tables in our downstairs conference room; 8-10 in our 2nd floor conference room; 6-8 on the sun porch; and up to 150 outdoors. There are criteria for all events here at Immanuel and are listed under “forms” on the facility page.
